Introduction

Okay everyone, today's lesson is going to be great, so get in here and take your seats. The doorway is a bit cramped so everybody better not try to squeeze through at once.

One at a time please.

I said, one at a time, please!

MIKE you're squishing poor Steve!

HEY! That's my peanut butter sandwich!!!

One at a time through the doorway!!!

Moral of the story: It's important to be able to say "One at a time", no matter the language.

    Example:
    ふたずつつくります。
    ”I'll make two at a time.”

Today you'll get to learn about ずつ! This fun little suffix attaches to an amount of something and turns it into a rate, or unit. ずつ is translated as "each X", "per X", "X at a time" or often, "X by Y (e.g. little by little)". Don't worry though, it's very easy to use.
