  て form verbごらん(なさい)
  Example:
  → そんなに言いうなら、自分じぶんでやってごらん。
  "If you're gonna talk like that, try and do it yourself.”

When Sakamoto Kyuu covered 「見み上あげてごらん夜よるの星ほしを」 in 1963, there's no way he could have predicted what a massive hit the song would be. And there's even less of a way he could have predicted that I'd use the song's title to kick off this lesson on 〜てごらん!

You may remember ご覧らん from your lesson on 尊敬語そんけいご (respectful language) in Apprentice #87! We'll be using ご覧らん's kana form today to get up to a little bit of grammatical mischief.
