Hey, there's no need to panic, today's lesson is very chill, I promise.
There's also no need to get too comfortable.
There's also no need for me to keep saying "there's no need"... or is there?
Casual (dictionary form) verbことはない
Example:
→ ビッグフットは実際に存在しないから、心配することはないよ。
"Bigfoot doesn't actually exist, so there's no need to worry.”
We have another 「こと」 grammar point in store today, but don't worry, this one's cool and simple. So put away the wail of despair and bring out the wahoo. WAHOO!
〜ことはない simply attaches to a given verb, nominalizes it, and expresses either ① "there is no need to do X", or ② "X never happens". Context will usually make it quite obvious which meaning we're dealing with, so like I said, no need to panic!
