Example:
→ 一か月おきに払います。
"I pay every other month.”
~おきに is a slippery little piece of grammar, that hides some bulky rules behind a cute and simple exterior. But don't worry, as usual, I'm here to help demystify all of the... mystical stuff.
The first thing you should know is that ~おきに derives from the verb 置く("to place"). This is about to become extremely important, even though this grammar is pretty much never written in its kanji form.
