Introduction

Woah there! I nearly caused a massive accident by dropping these two huge wheels of cheese I happened to be carrying! That was a close one.

Today, you'll learn how to say that you "nearly did X", or better yet, "nearly didn't do X". Let's go!

    Casual (dictionary) form verbところだった

    Casual (negative) form verbところだった

    Example:
    → マイクのパンケーキをべるところだった
    "I almost ate Mike's pancakes.”

Let's get down to some (ところ) business!
