Introduction

There's no mistake about it, this lesson is the best.

It's also a lesson about how to say, "There's no mistake about it".

It's nice when things work out like that, isn't it?

~にちがいない: It must be! There's no mistake!

構成こうせい

  • b

    Casual form verbちがいない

  • b

    い・な-adjectiveちがいない

  • b

"There's no mistake that he's the culprit.”

Rejoice, because this lesson is going to be fairly straightforward. No grammatical monkey business, hijinks, and/or funny stuff!

「にちがいない」 is a combination of the に particle, the noun 「ちがい」 ("mistake; difference"), and the auxiliary adjective ない. (Yes, the very same ない that you use to express nonexistence: 「そこにはリンゴはない」 "There is no apple there.")
