



Remember 「それでは」? We used to say things like "With that" or "If that's the case"! Well, today, we'll be taking a closer look at only「では」by seeing how it attaches to other words and how it acts as a more general "if" marker. How's that sound?

Verb/い-adjective(て form) + は

Noun/な-adjective + では
Example:
→ 他の人のものを勝手に使っては、怒られますよ。
"If you use other people's things without asking, they'll get mad at you.”

仮定を表す。

「では・ては」で表した条件の後、否定的な内容が来る。
