～にこしたことはない: Things that are "best to do"

Introduction

This is a lesson where we'll all learn how it never hurts to be prepared. This goes for speaking a second language, as well as attending a high-level baseball game. You never know when you may have to bust out your Japanese skills; you never know when a ball will come flying directly at the hot dog you just purchased for 20 dollars. Two sides of one coin, really.
