Welcome to another short and sweet lesson! I figured you could use a break after all the passive, causative, and causative-passive shenanigans we had recently. So sit back and relax, because this one will be a piece of apple! (What, I'm on a diet.)
(Volitional form verb)と思う
Example:
→ あのピザを食べようと思っている。
”I think I'll eat that pizza.”
The ~ようと思う structure is quite similar to "I'm thinking of doing..." in English, but because of the volitional verb, it can also mean "I think I will..." or "I'm going to...".
Formation is easy, simply slap と思う onto any volitional form verb!
