〜と言ってもいい

Structure

    Verb/Noun(だ)/い-adjective/な-adjective(だ)ってもいい
    Example:
    おれ天才てんさいってもいい
    "You could say I'm a genius.”

If we break down this phrase, とってもいい, we have our quote marker: と, the verb う in its て-form, the inclusivity particle も, and good old いい. Which, is probably overcomplicating things. This is essentially just a modified version of the 〜てもいい for permission that we studied in Beginner. Here's a recap of that:
