Introduction

Congratulations on making it to a 〜synthesis lesson〜. What's a 〜synthesis lesson〜 you ask? Well, we're going to be combining two grammar points you already know to form a new one. This means you should be able to basically teach yourself this lesson.

Well? Go on, I'm waiting.

It happens like... almost every time

Structure

  • b

    まいTime-related nounのように

    Example:
    まいにちのように、ピザをべます。
"I eat pizza almost every day.”

Okay fine, I'll teach it. 😌

Back in Lower Intermediate #29, you learned how to use 「まい〜」 to express "every (time interval)", and in the previous lesson, you also learned how to use 「〜のように」 to create a comparison, just like a simile in English.
