Welcome to yet another こそあど lesson! I know what you're thinking, but I promise this one will be simpler than our last two-part behemoth. So let's go ahead and get started, shall we?
こう・そう・ああ・どうVerb
Example:
→ こう動くんだ。
"It moves like this.”
In a super tiny nutshell, こう, そう, and ああ are adverbs that describe the way in which something happens. どう is, of course, a question word, and asks "in what way" something happens. These function quite similarly to こんな・そんな・あんな・どんな, except that this time we'll only be able to follow up our こそあど word with a verb. That's right, no nouns or adjectives allowed! 😤 Let's take a look at some examples.
