In the previous lesson, we mainly covered regrets and hopes, which may have left you feeling a little emotionally drained. You might be like "Where's the happiness in the world!?" and I hear you! So in this lesson, we'll switch to a more positive topic and learn how to say "we're glad" instead.
Noun/な-adjectiveでよかった
て-form Verb/て-form い-adjective(て)よかった
Example:
→ 君に会えてよかった。
"I'm glad I was able to meet you.”
You can express your gratitude by simply conjugating a word into the て-form, and attaching よかった. The meaning of this grammar point is not the same as attaching よかった to ば as we did in the previous lesson, so don't get them mixed up!
