In this very special lesson, we'll be rounding out ~たい and ~ほしい's "want trifecta" with our new challenger: ~たがる. This could get lengthy, so without further ado, let's do some grammar-ing!
In our previous "want" lessons covering ~たい, and ~ほしい, you may have felt that I was neglecting to teach how to say that "someone wants something", since ~たい and ~ほしい are only usable for the speaker's wants and desires. If you forgot about that, here's a quick little reminder:
The ~たい form of a verb can only be used to express what the speaker wants. For example:
