Welcome to the first installment of the three-part negator series! These three mega lessons will cover the two most important negators in Japanese: じゃない and ではない! These are used to negate nouns and な-adjectives, and you really just can't get by without them.
So, without further ado, let's kick things off with...
Noun/な-Adjectiveじゃない(です)
Example:
→ 学生じゃないです。
”I’m not a student.”
The most casual of the three "negators", じゃない can attach to any noun or な-adjective to negate it. This turns a regular old noun like:
0.1
Into:
0.2
