It is time for the return of the に particle and this time it’s about... err, time! So far you’ve learned that に can indicate a “target” destination or purpose, and we’ve also discussed its use with intransitive verbs like 乗る. Now, we’re moving on to something new! For this lesson, I’m going to teach you how に is used in relation to time.
This particle truly is the swiss army knife of particles—you can get so many different uses out of it! You know that it can indicate the “target destination”, but now let’s see how it can also indicate the “target time”.
