We’ve learned how to express our intentions with つもり, but now it’s time to learn how to make plans with 予定! “Wait, talking about the things we want to do isn’t the same thing as making plans?” You got that right! There’s a small nuance that distinguishes them and we’ll be learning about that today.
Casual Verb予定だ・です
Example:
→ 来週にラーメンを食べる予定だ。
”I plan on eating ramen next week.”
Nounの予定だ・です
Example:
→ キャンプは長野の予定だったけど、やっぱり北海道に行きます。
”We were planning on going camping in Nagano, but we’ll go to Hokkaido after all.”
