SRS Reordering, Study List Deletion and many improvements and bug fixes!
Time for another pretty big dev update! This time we focused on a few highly requested smaller features and things that were on our priority to-do lists.
First up, Reorder settings for your SRS Reviews! You can now sort your reviews just the way you like them:
Randomly (default)
Oldest First
Newest First
Lowest Level First
Highest Level First
Meanings Layouts First
Readings Layouts First
Next to that, you can also choose to keep item siblings together! This means you will get all item layouts before moving on to the next review item, letting you quickly finish items. This setting is combinable with the above reorder settings too!
You can access these settings by clicking on the gear button next to the lightning mode button in the top-right during reviews:
Next up are a bunch of new features and improvements:
Study Lists - You can now Remove Study Lists from your account. Just open the Edit Study List modal and click the Delete button to delete it. Easy as pie! Note that you can only remove your personal study lists or premade lists.
Study Lists - Manage Items - This page now also shows your SRS level for each item you learned so far!
Study Lists - Manage Items - This page now shows a loader while data is being grabbed from the server
SRS - Vocabulary - The All Definitions tab now shows detailed extra information next to the definitions, similar to the dictionary pages.
SRS - Vocabulary - Now shows Part Of Speech information on the Primary tab
SRS - Vocabulary - Now shows which kanji are contained in the vocabulary. Click on them to open a new browser tab with their corresponding dictionary entry.
SRS - Vocabulary - Spoiler blur is now off by default for kana-only items (as there is no other layout to spoil).
Bugfixes:
Main Study List - Fixed incorrect lesson order on some new additions
Main Study List - Resolved an issue with ghost lessons
SRS Reviews & Lessons Quiz - Items with "..." or similar in their meanings are now correctly validated when quizzed.
SRS Reviews & Lessons Quiz - Fixed an issue with being unable to answer with just the value without the parentheses. Meaning answering "mandarin" for "mandarin (citrus fruit)" will now properly work again.
SRS Reviews & Lessons - Lightning mode no longer breaks the ENTER key from advancing through the modals (finished lessons, quiz, next batch, etc).
Study Lists - You can now set a study list to 0 lessons per day again.
Study Lists - You can no longer set negative values for the lessons per day setting.
SRS & other inputs on the website - Sometimes, browsers would suddenly suggest filling in your details in unrelated inputs on the website. This should be fixed now.
SRS Reviews - Fixed an issue where the results screen would show incorrect (visual-only) information if you answered an item wrong in a previous session, then finished the review (correctly) in a new session.
Main Study List (Unlocks) Major Overhaul Part 1 + New Lower Intermediate Content
Hey all!
We've got exciting news today! We've been overhauling the main study list unlocks which you get by unlocking vocabulary & kanji in the adventure regions.
We've removed items we felt were odd, unfitting for the level it is in, or deemed redundant. But we've also been adding a lot of new Vocabulary! We feel these additions make for a more well-rounded course.
This is the first batch of major changes for the main study list, we've got a lot more on the way as we work through the whole list. All changes can be viewed down below.
Because we've been removing items, we've also added a new Study List for you to grab, which contains all removed items. The reason we've added this list is so that your reviews still have a home, now that they might have been removed from your main study list. But grabbing it is completely optional!
Note that all additions have automatically been added to your main Study List, based on whether you already unlocked the batch it is in or not. So no need to go back and unlocks things manually!
Next to this, we've also added a new batch of Lower Intermediate content. As usual, you can find 7 new levels in the groovy underwater region.

Our first minigame, tutorials & knowledge articles and Timezones!
Time for yet another update! This one has been brooding for a while, but we really wanted to double-test everything before putting it live.
Introducing our first mini-game
We've added Wordle!
For those unfamiliar with Wordle, it's a game where you have to guess the correct word with a limited amount of tries, and each character you input can either be correct, show a hint or be completely incorrect (not used at all).
And it comes in two difficulties: 4-characters and 5-characters. New daily Wordles are unlocked at midnight depending on your timezone setting.

Can you guess the correct words? Give it a try and earn some experience for your user level while at it!
Onboarding & Knowledge Base Widget
We've also introduced a new widget on the page which will help you start your journey with MaruMori. This widget automatically pops up with interactive tutorials when you first do certain actions (like the first time you arrive on the overworld, or when you unlock a batch of Vocabulary and Kanji).
But next to that, it also acts as a knowledge base! If you've got any questions about MM, like how to use a certain feature or do certain things, you can just click on the button and it will show you a list of knowledge-base articles!

We've added a few articles to start with but will be filling it up with more information in the coming weeks and whenever we release new features.
We hope that these bite-sized articles will be able to answer most questions that (new) users have.

Time-zone Setting
Next to this, we also have exciting news for those in time zones other than London (our server time). Which is likely most of you!
The timezone setting is now taken into account for everything on the website. This means that your daily lessons now unlock at your midnight, your streak gets updated correctly if your timezone is already on the next day and things like the daily vocabulary, kanji, and wordles also unlock based on your timezone!

User Levels and Experience plus new Lower-Intermediate Content Batch
Guess what? It's Tuesday which means it's time for another batch of levels! But not just that, we've also implemented a new user level and experience system.
Each level will take 20 experience more to unlock than the previous, and we currently go up to level 100!
We think that reaching high levels is already a very major achievement for most. Still, for our most hardcore students, we've also decided to introduce "tiers" or "paragons" which let you start at levels 1-100 again but with a special icon showing that you've already done an X amount of 100 levels.
Also, for the existing users, rest assured that we've backfilled your experience and levels, so be sure to check out your fancy new level!
Bugfixes, bugfixes, bugfixes and.. our first easter egg!
Time for a new update! Today we've mostly got a big bunch of bugfixes but also the ability to remove items from study lists and our very first easter egg achievement is ready to be earned. How to get it? You'd have to figure that out yourself!

New Features
Achievements - Implemented our first easter egg. Something about making Maru mad at you.. 😠
Study Lists - You can now remove items from your personal study lists through the management table. Simply select the item and select the action from the actions dropdown.
Grammar Lessons - Highlights for grammar explanations now have a different color than the tooltip items. This way it's easier to see which ones you can hover over for more info (the green ones).
SRS Lessons & Reviews - The text size for the kanji subtitle has been increased on mobile
Bugfixes
SRS Lessons & Reviews - "Used In" tab should now show up correctly after navigating back and forth.
Manage Items - Unsuspend is now properly available when selecting all items at once
Manage Items - Fixed an issue with the placement of the actions dropdown.
Grammar Lessons - Read time estimates have been adjusted to be more realistic 😆
Adventure - Fixed an issue where maru would sometimes get stuck in a black void after navigating back and forth the overworld
Adventure - Fixed an issue where an animation would get applied to other pages, resulting in "dancing" scrollbars.
Home & Study List Dashboard - The intermediate and above bars will no longer play hide and seek on mobile
Conjugation Trainer - Removed some incorrect conjugations for かっこいい
Adventure - Fixed an issue with scrolling/dragging on Samsung and some other android devices.
SRS Lessons & Reviews - Fixed an issue where entering "Not allowed" answers would do nothing.
Dictionary - Searching with a capital first letter now properly converts to a kana search (if convertible).
SRS Lessons - Fixed an issue where selecting the last tab and then starting the quiz would show no tab for the next item
Adventure - The animated arrow no longer goes through the navbar and modals
