About
と言う can become つう in very casual speech. This is mainly used by young men.
つう can substitute for many different という patterns, such as と言って, と言った, ということは, って言った, etc.
E.g. マイクが無理だっつった。 "Mike said it's impossible."
E.g. 行ったっつったよね。 "You said you went right?"
つう is almost always pronounced with a small つ in front (「っつう」), except when it starts a sentence.
