The ～という理由りゆうで structure is used to designate the preceding phrase as the "reason" for something. It makes use of ～という, which refers to the previous noun/phrase, 理由りゆう "reason", and で, the だ auxiliary verb's conjunctive form. ～という理由りゆうで often translates to "Due to X".

E.g. お腹なかが非常ひじょうに空すいていたという理由りゆうで、犯人はんにんはピザを盗ぬすんだ。 "The culprit stole the pizza due to extreme hunger."

When the "reason" comes in a previous sentence, という may be swapped with こういう・そういう・ああいう.

E.g. そういう理由りゆうでやったなら、仕方しかたないね。 "If that was the reason for you doing that, then it can't be helped, can it?"
