About
の is commonly combined with the particles へ, で, から, まで, and と to form a so-called "compound particle". For の compound particles, の is used to combine a clause/phrase/piece of info ending with へ, で, から, まで, or と with a noun.
The と particle in ~との sentences may either be the "with" と (①) or the "quoting" と particle (②).
① E.g. このワインはピザとの相性がいい! "This wine pairs well with pizza!"
② E.g. 犯人はピザ作りが得意、との報告がありました。 "There was a report that said the culprit was good at making pizza."
