点 means "point" is a formal/polite way to refer to an "aspect" of something.
🥨 点 may attach any casual form of a verb/い-adjective, to nouns using の, or to な-adjective using な.
E.g. 分からない点があれば、聞いてください。"If there is anything you don't understand, please ask."
E.g. 良くなかった点は直した方がいいよ。 "You should fix the things that weren't good."
点 may be followed by various particles depending on how a given sentence uses the "aspect" that 点 refers to.
E.g. 年会費がずっと上がらない点が嬉しい。 "I'm happy about the fact that the annual fee will never go up."
E.g. 重要な点は住みやすさです。 "The important aspect is ease of living."
The ~という点 pattern is also possible, and forms "in terms of X" or "X is ... in that... Y" type statements.
E.g. あのカフェは朝5時から開いているという点でとても便利だ。 "That cafe is very convenient in that it opens from 5 a.m."
~という点 is also commonly used to compare two things.
E.g. このすし屋とあのすし屋は、ネタが大きくて新鮮だという点で共通している。 "This sushi place and that sushi place are the same in that their toppings are big and fresh."
