~し~(し)
And.../and what's more...
About
し can attach to casual verbs, い-adjectives, or nouns/な-adjectives using だ, can be used to list things, and often similarly provides emphasis to saying "and what's more..." in English.
E.g. しおりはスポーツも好きだし、ステキな人だ。 "Shiori likes sports too, and what's more, she's a lovely person."
し can also be used to provide reasons and implies that something is being left unsaid.
E.g. やめとく?あそこ、高いし......"Should we not (go)? That place is expensive (and stuff)..."
し can also be used to provide emphasis. Usually, this is done at the end of a sentence.
E.g. それ後でやるし。 "I'll do that later."
