〜(て)もらう
To have someone do/To receive
About
もらう means "to receive" and always moves towards the speaker. もらう can be combined with a て form verb to express that the speaker had someone perform an action for them.
E.g. 本を買ってもらった。
"I had someone buy a book for me."
In ~てもらう sentences, the speaker does もらう while the other person does the て form verb. The doer of the て form verb is marked by に, the indirect object marker.
