あまりに(も)~
Excessively/so much... that
About
あまり means "excess" or "remainder", and can be used as an adverb by using the に (and optionally も) particle. あまりに(も) can be attached to a verb or adjective directly. This usage usually translates to "So much... that" or "Very X".
E.g. あの曲、あまりに好きすぎて、2千回ぐらい聞いたよ。 "I like that song so much that I listened to it about 2000 times."
Or あまりに can attach to a noun. In this case, に follows the noun instead, and we attach あまり to the noun using の.
E.g. あまりの嬉しさに、網戸に飛び込んじゃった。 "I was so happy that I accidentaly ran into the screen door."
The も particle can be added to あまりに for added emphasis.
