~ふりをする is a phrase that means "to pretend to do...", and is simply a combination of ふり (振り), which you can think of as "action", the を particle, and the verb する.
〜ふりをする can attach to any casual form verb, or directly to い-adjectives, to nouns using の, or to な-adjectives using な.
E.g. 中山さんは、お金がないのにお金持ちのふりをしている。
"Even though he has no money, Yamanaka is pretending that he's rich."
E.g. 知らないふりをしないで教えて。
"Don't pretend you don't know and tell me."
