About

When こと comes by itself at the end of a sentence it indicates a rule or a command. ~こと can follow ~こと can follow a casual form verb or a noun with の attached.

E.g. このくすり1日いちにちに2かいこと。 "Take this medicine twice a day."

E.g. 9まえ出勤しゅっきんこと。 "You must be at work by 9 o'clock."

~こと is often found in written rules, said by teachers/instructors to their students, or by bosses to their employees.
