〜的（てき）

About

的てき is a suffix that can be used to turn nouns into な-adjectives. (E.g. "emotion; basics" into "emotional; basic".)

E.g.

一般いっぱん的てき "general"

具体ぐたい的てき "concrete"

基本きほん的てき "basic"

E.g. 海うみに行いくと開放かいほう的てきな気分きぶんになる！ "When I go to the ocean I feel free!"

A somewhat casual/slangy usage of 的てき is when 的てき attaches to nouns that don't have obvious adjective counterparts, such as first-person pronouns, or words like "money" or "athlete".

E.g. 私わたし的てきにはこのチョコミントラテが一番いちばん美味おいしいと思おもう。 "Personally, I think this chocolate mint latte is the tastiest."
