~ばかりか is a combination of the particles ばかり and か, and is used to express "not only X, (but also) Y".
~ばかりか is commonly, but not exclusively, used in negative contexts.
The second half of a ~ばかりか statement should increase in degree (i.e., more negative or more positive).
~ばかりか can attach directly to casual form verbs/い-adjectives/nouns, or to な-adjectives using な.
~ばかりか is slightly stiff in tone.
E.g. 3ヶ月経っているのに、工事は進んでいないばかりか、逆戻りしているような気がする。 "Despite 3 months having passed, not only has the construction not made progress, I feel like they're going backwards."
E.g. 武道を習うことは、健康に良いばかりか、礼儀を身につけることもできる。 "Not only is learning a martial art good for your health, but you can also learn manners."
