さん
San (honorific)
About
さん is a general polite name ender, or "honorific". Since さん indicates respect for the person you are referring to, it can be used safely with your superiors, as well as with people you aren't close with. Unlike ちゃん or くん, さん has no gender connotations. The さん name ender is a good bet if you aren't sure what honorific to use with someone's name, and usually attaches to one's surname, rather than their given name, although the latter is possible.
