~好き・~嫌い
Like/dislike
About
This structure uses the が or は particle to attach the な-adjectives 好き or 嫌い to a noun in order to describe it as being "liked" or "disliked". This is contrary to English, which uses verbs for this purpose ("to like/dislike") rather than adjectives.
If describing a verb or adjective, the nominalizing の or こと must be placed before が/は to form the structure 「(nominalized verb/adjective)が/は好き・嫌い」. Nouns may simply follow the structure 「(noun)が/は好き・嫌い」.
好き and 嫌い may be proceeded by 大 to indicate "love" (大好き) and "hate" (大嫌い). This does not change the above structures.
