絶対

About

絶対ぜったい can function as either an adverb or a noun, and means "absolutely..." or "certainly...". When used as an adverb, 絶対ぜったい takes the に particle, although this is often dropped in spoken Japanese.

Usually, 絶対ぜったい comes before the phrase it modifies:

E.g. 絶対ぜったいに楽たのしい。
"That's definitely fun."

However, sometimes this order can be reversed in spoken Japanese.

E.g. それ楽たのしいね。絶対ぜったい。
That's fun. Definitely.

絶対ぜったい can be used in both positive and negative contexts.
