～どころか: Far from bad, close to awesome
構成
Casual form verb/い-adjective/な-adjective(な)/nounどころか
Example:
→ 暑いどころか、雪が降っていた。
”Far from hot, it was snowing.”
This lesson will involve an old friend, ところ. Remember them? They helped us make sentences like:

ちょうど食べ終わったところだ。
and,
0.2
今出かけるところだよ。
wherein ところ denoted a specific point in time.
