～どころか can be used to describe that outcome "Y" is the opposite of expectation "X", with the structure 「Xどころか、Y」.

E.g. ハワイは暑あついどころか、着ついた日ひに雪ゆきが降ふった。 "Far from being hot, on the day we arrived in Hawaii, it snowed."

～どころか can be used to describe that outcome "Y" far surpasses expectation "X", with the structure 「Xどころか、Y」.
