These next two lessons will be all about smashing verb stems together with other verbs to form so-called "compound verbs".
We'll be starting off with 込む, which can be a bit tricky to wrap your head around at first, but once mastered, opens up a whole new world of verbular vocabulary. That's a word right? Verbular?
Verb stem込む
Example:
→ 急に走り込んできた。
"(They) suddenly came running in.”
~込む has a multitude of meanings.
On its own, 「込む」 can mean "to be crowded" or "to put into". When we combine it with another verb though... the possibilities are endless!
