~込む: How to *really* do something

Introduction

These next two lessons will be all about smashing verb stems together with other verbs to form so-called "compound verbs".

We'll be starting off with む, which can be a bit tricky to wrap your head around at first, but once mastered, opens up a whole new world of verbular vocabulary. That's a word right? Verbular?


む: Verbs that go in-depth

    Example:
    きゅうはしんできた
    "(They) suddenly came running in.”

む has a multitude of meanings.

On its own, 「む」 can mean "to be crowded" or "to put into". When we combine it with another verb though... the possibilities are endless!
