Hey! I heard you liked the は particle. So I figured I'd better give you another grammar point that uses it.
Y-you do like the は particle, right?
Verb/い-adjectiveのは~だ
Noun/な-adjectiveなのは~だ
Example:
→ 勝ったのは俺だ。
”I'm the one who won.”
Today's lesson is all about making so-called "emphatic" statements. This is just a fancy way of referring to statements that are crafted to emphasize a certain piece of information. Like, if we wanted to emphasize that we were the ones who baked that tasty cake, or that it was Mike who stole the XL pepperoni pie off the counter.
