Welcome to ほど part two! This time, we'll be dealing with two new ほど patterns.
There's a lot to cover, so let's dive right in.
Verb/nounほど......ない
Example:
→ 慌てるほどの問題じゃないと思うよ。
"I don't think it's an issue worth panicking over.”
In your previous lesson, we used ほど to make statements like "So X that Y", wherein ほど described the "extent/degree" of a feeling or action.
In this lesson, we'll be combining ほど with negative statements instead.
This pattern has two distinct meanings, and we'll be taking a look at "X is not as Y as Z" first. With all of the Xs Ys and Zs, that may sound a bit confusing, but don't worry, this usage is actually easier than the previous ones!
