It's been a while since we had a lesson about a verb. So I figured, "Hey, let's have a lesson about a verb!". And now we're here. Yay!
Today's lesson is all about the verb「合う」. Let's go!
Stem form verb合う
Example:
→ パートナーと話し合うことが大事だ。
"It's important to talk things out with your partner.”
As you might be able to tell from the structure above, this first section is going to feature your favorite: compound verbs. Hurray!
The verb 合う means "to come together" or "to fit", and when we form a compound verb using 合う we indicate that the verb is done "mutually" or "reciprocally". Usually, this translates to something like "together" or "to/with each other".
