Okay, this one's up to you: do you want a review lesson? You've kinda already learned this grammar point, but it was in a larger lesson with other points, and you never got to drill this pattern specifically in your SRS.
So does doing this point justice after all this time seem like a good idea?
(I'm writing it anyway.)
Conditional form verb/い-adjective (ば)~のに
Noun/な-adjective(たら・なら・であれば・ではなければ・じゃなければ)~のに
Example:
→ あの店に行けばよかったのに。
"If only I'd gone to that store.”
Back in the Depths of Devotion, you learned all about the ば conditional marker, and how it's used to create statements of regret in combination with のに. Today, we'll focus on this structure, and look at all the different ways we can regret the past (and sometimes, the present!). What a healthy lesson!
