Welcome to this short(ish) lesson on 〜にとって!

〜にとって combines a noun with the に particle and the て form of the verb る (written exclusively in kana for this grammar point), and is primarily used to express "to (noun)" or "for (noun)". This function of にとって allows us to frame the following statement from the perspective of whatever noun we attach it to.
