結局 + (verb phrase)
Example:
→ 長年計画を立てていたけど、結局中止になった。
"(They) planned it for years, but in the end, it was canceled.”
First up is 「結局」, an adverb that means "in the end; after all; ultimately", which we can use to describe the end result of a given action.
