結局けっきょく is an adverb that precedes a verb or verb phrase and means "in the end; after all; ultimately".

E.g. おうかなやんでたけど、結局けっきょくわなかった。 "I deliberated buying it, but in the end, I didn't (buy it)."

E.g. 3時間じかんはなったのに、結局けっきょくなにまりませんでした。 "(We) talked for three hours, but in the end, nothing was decided."
