Okay, I know what you're thinking. ANOTHER lesson about できる? Haven't we had enough??? I hear you, I really do. But here's the thing. Don't you want to be able to say "This car is made of pineapple"? Well, then you'd better pay attention!
Nounでできる・からできる
Example:
→ この机はプラスチックでできている。
"This desk is made from plastic.”
Basically, this usage is for when you want to say what something is made out of/made from. It's pretty straightforward, but there are a couple of nuances to cover, so let's get to it.
If you remember, we actually used から back in Beginner #41 to describe what something is made out of. But we didn't know about potential form verbs back then, so we couldn't cover できる. So now that we're all grown up, let's finally get to it, shall we?
