Huh, it seems like it's time for yet another lesson on hearsay and observations! Incredible. I hope you're not sick of this topic! But if you are, I promise I won't gossip about you behind your back using any of these grammar points...

Structure

    Verb/い-adjective/noun/な-adjectiveらしい(です)
    Example:
    → そのピザは、とても美味おいしいらしい
    "Apparently that pizza is really delicious.”

Welcome to the third installment of "Observations and Hearsay"!

You can think of ~らしい as a version of ~そうだ for hearsay where your statement is based on less reliable information. This means that ~らしい tends to be used more for information gained from second-hand (and often multiple) sources. For example, you might make a ~らしい statement based on something you saw, or heard, or read! Let's check out some examples.
