    Example:
    → やりなおしてください。
    ”Please do it again, properly.”

I must confess, 〜なおす doesn't necessarily have anything to do with physically repairing things. Instead, it expresses that an action is done again, only this time, in a more better way better way. Oops, had to なお that last bit.

If you look at the dictionary definition of なおす, you'll see that in addition to "to repair" it also means "to correct" and "to put right". These are the main meanings we'll be dealing with today.
