I’m gonna be real with you, this lesson is JUST TOO MUCH TO HANDLE! IT’S TOO MUCH!!! AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAaaaaaaaaaaaaa…. *fades off into the distance*
Okay, well that was melodramatic. However, we are going to cover “too much” today, which will be very useful if you ever visit Japan in the summer. Got your ice-cold watermelon ready to battle the heat? Awesome, let’s get to it!
Stem-Form Verb・な-Adjective過ぎる
Example:
→ 食べすぎた。
”I ate too much.”
い-Adjective (い)過ぎる
Example:
→ あつすぎる。
”It’s too hot.”
This may make it look like there are a lot of different structures to remember, but once you understand the fundamentals of stem-form verbs, and adjectives, I promise it’s really easy. So let’s cover that first.
