Causative form verbs can be used in combination with verbs of giving and receiving, as well ください ("please") to form requests.
E.g. あの歌を歌わせてください! "Please let me sing that song!"
E.g. あの本を読ませてもらえますか。 "Could I possibly read that book?"
In casual situations, the shortened form of させる, さす, can be used. (For godan verbs, add す to the negative stem form.)
E.g. 食べる → 食べ → 食べさす
E.g. 飲む → 飲まない → 飲ます
This form can be used in its て form to make requests as well.
E.g. ちょっとそれ飲まして。 "Let me drink some of that."
