About

Causative form verbs can be used in combination with verbs of giving and receiving, as well ください ("please") to form requests.

E.g. あのうたうたわせてください! "Please let me sing that song!"

E.g. あのほんませてもらえますか。 "Could I possibly read that book?"

In casual situations, the shortened form of させる, さす, can be used. (For godan verbs, add す to the negative stem form.)

E.g. べる → べ → さす

E.g. む → ないます

This form can be used in its て form to make requests as well.
