~ことだし ("since; seeing as how") is used to convey an incomplete list of reasons for X.
〜ことだし is light in tone, and is mainly used in casual situations.
E.g. 引っ越しの準備も終わったことだし、今夜はゆっくり映画でも見ようか。 "Since we've finished preparing to move, should we chill out and watch a movie tonight?"
E.g. 試験も近いことだし、明日は家で勉強するよ。 "Seeing as how (my) test is coming up, I'll study at home tomorrow."
E.g. あの人は有名なことだし、すぐスポンサーも見つかると思う。 "Seeing as how that person is famous and whatnot, I think they'll find sponsors right away."
〜ことだし indicates that there are other, unmentioned reasons as well.
〜ことだし can become 〜ことですし in polite scenarios.
