〜たばかり

ばかり, an adverbial particle or, 副助詞ふくじょし, can follow a casual past tense (た) form verb. This expresses that an action has "just" been completed. 〜たばかり statements are subjective and depend upon the speaker's point of view.

〜たばかり is often combined with なのに to express "despite an action having just been completed...".

In casual speech, ばかり often becomes ばっかり, ばっか, or in some regions of Japan, ばっかし.
