ようになる
To become X/to reach Y point
About
The ようになる structure combines ように with the verb なる ("to become") to express a change in state or a change in one's habit or ability.
E.g. 漢字を読めるようになりました。 "I've become able to read kanji."
When ~ようになる is paired with a dictionary form verb or negative casual verb, it expresses a transition from a previous (sometimes unspoken) state, to a current state. This transition has a nuance of taking place over a relatively long period of time.
E.g. 分かるようになりました。 "I have come to understand."
